Clean “Fried” Pickles Recipe (With Southwest Dip)

Fried Pickles

Pickles!

Ingredients:

(For about 30 pickles)

  • About 1/2 a 16 oz.-jar of hamburger dill chips
  • 1/2 cup flaxseed meal (or ground flaxseed)
  • 1/2 Tbs. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. parsley
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • Dash of onion powder
  • Dash of oregano

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF.
  2. Combine flaxseed and all spices until mixed completely.
  3. Pour flaxseed mixture onto a shallow dish to coat pickles.
  4. Drain the juice from the pickles, but don’t rinse them.
  5. Coat each pickle slice in flaxseed mixture, patting them if necessary.
  6. Place pickles in a single layer on a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 8 minutes, then flip and bake for an additional 8 minutes on the other side.

While they’re baking, make the southwest dip. Getting hungry??

Southwest Dip!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard
  • Dash of pepper
  • Dash of onion powder
  • Dash of garlic powder
  • Dash of cumin
  • Dash of chili powder

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients until well blended.
  2. Store in refrigerator until pickles are done.

When everything’s done, dig in! I ate a whole plate of these in about 4 minutes, no joke. They are so good!
